When should we start the boarding school application process?
- We recommend beginning at least 3-6 months before application deadlines. Students who began their applications before November 1st are 3x more likely to receive an acceptance. This allows time for testing, essays, and interview preparation.
Do U.S. boarding schools require the SSAT?
- While many top schools are now test-optional, students who submit strong scores (aiming for the 85th percentile or higher) have a competitive advantage. We advise families case by case.
What is the acceptance rate for top boarding schools?
- Over the last 5 years, boarding schools have seen a 10-20% increase in applications, leading to historically low acceptance rates & longer waitlists. Today, most selective schools admit only 13–25% of applicants, making preparation essential.
How do interviews work and how can we prepare?
